what to do at home should it bust

Answer from Our Team

If it bursts, apply gentle pressure with a clean cloth or gauze to stop any bleeding, rinse gently with saline, cover it loosely, and prevent licking. Call your vet the same day, and go immediately if bleeding doesn't stop or your dog seems weak.

Ask your vet now about a plan, including pain relief and whether removal, radiation or palliative care is best.
