We have always thought the stomach issues were ,because she goes in woods and eats deer droppings, now were seeing blood. concerned. She was just tested for worm ,parasites, and Lymes. Thanks
Long-term gurgling, vomiting and now blood in the stool need a vet workup. Eating deer droppings can expose her to parasites and bacteria, but six months of symptoms suggests something ongoing, such as inflammatory bowel disease, a food intolerance, or a chronic infection.
Ask your vet about repeat fecal testing, blood tests, an abdominal ultrasound and a diet trial. Dark blood in the stool can mean bleeding higher in the gut, so mention this, and go sooner if she stops eating, vomits repeatedly or the stool turns black.
See blood in dog stool for what different blood colors mean.
This is general information, not a diagnosis. Please follow your own vet's advice.
