Scuff Mark in the Center of a Dog's Eye
A mark on the surface of the eye that doesn't move could be a scratch or ulcer, a scar from an old injury, or mineral or fat deposits in the cornea. If your dog is squinting, rubbing or has discharge, see a vet the same day, since a fresh ulcer can worsen.
If he seems comfortable, book a regular appointment so your vet can stain the eye and take a closer look.
This is general information, not a diagnosis. Please follow your own vet's advice.
