Sac-Like Swelling in the Inner Corner of the Eye
by JoAnn
(Oak Island, NC USA)
A swelling in the inner corner near the nose that appears suddenly could be a third-eyelid gland problem, an inflamed tear sac (the drainage system that carries tears to the nose), an abscess, or a cyst. In a 10-year-old dog, a growth is also possible.
Please have it checked within a day or two, and sooner if she squints, the eye becomes red or painful, or there's discharge.
