Red Eye That Hasn't Improved After a Week
If the redness hasn't improved after a week, go back to your vet or ask about seeing a veterinary ophthalmologist. A red eye that's worse at night can be caused by dry eye, allergies, inflammation inside the eye or glaucoma, among others.
Go sooner if she squints, the eye is cloudy, or her vision seems affected.
See conjunctivitis in dogs and dog eye infections.
