Pit Bull With a Sore in the Thigh Crease and Hot Spots on Her Tail

A sore in the inner thigh crease could be a hot spot, a skin-fold infection, a bite or abscess, or a lump. Hot spots on the tail are often linked to fleas or to anal gland problems, which make dogs lick and chew at their back end.
Because she won't allow it to be examined, ask your vet about calming medicine before the visit, a muzzle, or a short sedation so the area can be clipped, cleaned and checked properly. Pain is often the reason a dog guards an area, so it shouldn't be left. See a vet the same day if the area is swelling quickly, feels hot, drains pus or blood, or smells, or if she seems lethargic, feverish or off her food. A cone can stop her licking it in the meantime.
