Ny dog was on my furniture, bed etc. before we found out he had ringworm. How do I treat these areas & what do I sue? Please help

Answer from Our Team

Start by removing hair and debris: vacuum furniture and floors, and wipe surfaces. Wash bedding and fabrics with ordinary detergent on a long cycle; bleach isn't needed for laundry.

Then disinfect hard surfaces with a product labeled to kill Trichophyton, or diluted bleach, and never mix bleach with other cleaners. Repeat once or twice a week until your vet confirms he's cured, and wash your hands after handling him.

See ringworm in dogs.

This is general information, not a diagnosis. Please follow your own vet's advice.
