How Long Should a Puppy Wear a Cone After Cherry Eye Surgery?

We understand how miserable cones are, but please follow your vet's advice on this. Rubbing or scratching can tear the stitches and make the gland pop out again, and a dog that can reach its eye with a back paw is still at risk. Two weeks is a common recommendation.
A few things can help: a softer or inflatable-style collar if your vet approves it, taking it off only while you're directly supervising, and making sure it's long enough to stop her reaching her face. Ask your vet before stopping early.
