Dog With Pus-Filled Eyes, Bloody Vomit and Diarrhea

Vomiting blood together with diarrhea is an emergency at any age, so please see a vet right away. Bleeding into the stomach can come from ulcers, some medications, toxins, clotting problems, severe gut inflammation or tumors.

Pus-like eye discharge at the same time could point to an infection affecting more than one body system, such as canine distemper, especially in a dog who isn't fully vaccinated. Tell the clinic about the eyes and his vaccination history when you call, keep him away from other dogs until he's been checked, and don't give any human medicines while waiting.
