Dog With Pancreatic Cancer Has a Seizure After His Medicine
Please call your vet right away about this. A seizure or collapse after a medicine needs to be checked urgently, and it may not be caused by the medicine at all. Dogs with some pancreatic tumors can have dangerously low blood sugar, which can cause weakness, wobbliness and seizures.
The medicine is probably diazoxide, which is used to raise blood sugar, so your vet needs to know the seizures are still happening. Call your vet today, before the next dose is due, and follow their advice on whether to give it. If he has another seizure, is very weak or won't wake properly, take him to an emergency vet immediately.
