Dog Hunching and Straining With Only Clear Drops Coming Out
by Glenda

A dog hunching and straining with only a few drops of clear fluid, a tucked tail and reluctance to move is uncomfortable and needs to be seen by a vet promptly, ideally the same day.
The first thing to work out is whether he's trying to poop or to pee. Straining to urinate with little or no urine can mean a blocked bladder, which is an emergency, especially in male dogs. If it's stool, severe constipation, an intestinal blockage, anal gland problems or back pain can all cause this posture. Go to a vet or emergency clinic right away if he vomits, won't eat, has a swollen or painful belly, or can't pass urine.
