Can anyone suggest some remedies to bring her comfort, other than what the vet suggested, which was cage confinement for 7 straight days, and Previcox.

Strict rest is the most important part of healing, so the crate confinement your vet prescribed really does help. You can make it easier with a comfortable padded bed, short leash-only potty breaks, food puzzles and chews for mental stimulation, and keeping her calm.
Don't add other pain medicines or supplements without asking your vet, since some combinations are dangerous. Ask about follow-up X-rays to make sure the fragment heals, and about when gentle activity can restart.
