Can Anal Gland Medication Cause Vomiting?
(Ohio)
Some medicines, especially some antibiotics, can upset a dog's stomach and cause vomiting or diarrhea. Giving them with food often helps, if the label allows.
Your friend should call the vet if the dog vomits more than once, can't keep the medicine down, stops eating or seems unwell. The vet may change the medicine or suggest another approach, such as treating inside the sac directly.
