Cabbage-Like Growth in a Shih Tzu's Ear

Cauliflower- or cabbage-like growths in the ear canal are often benign, such as overgrown wax glands caused by long-term ear inflammation or benign wax gland tumors, though some are malignant, especially in older dogs. Ear infections are common with them, which explains the oozing.
Ask your vet to examine the ear with an otoscope and sample or biopsy the growth. Treatment depends on what it is, and may include ear medication for infection and surgical removal of the growth.
