Adrenal Tumor and Possible Cushing's in a Paralyzed Dachshund
Many dogs with an adrenal tumor and Cushing's do well. The outlook depends mainly on whether the tumor is benign or malignant, whether it has spread, and her overall health. Adrenal tumors can be removed surgically, which can cure the Cushing's, though it's a major operation; dogs that aren't surgical candidates are often managed with daily medication such as trilostane.
Ask your vet whether a CT scan or referral to a surgeon makes sense, and what medical management would look like for her. Her paralysis may affect which option is best for her quality of life.
