15-Year-Old Dog's Eye Is Red and Cloudy

Thank you!
A red eye with a cloudy pupil and the third eyelid coming up in an elderly dog needs a vet visit within a day. Possible causes include inflammation inside the eye (uveitis), glaucoma, a corneal ulcer, or a cataract that has caused inflammation. Some of these are painful and can cause blindness quickly.
Your vet can stain the eye and check the pressure inside it. If her eye seems painful, she squints, or the eye looks enlarged, go the same day.
See dog eye infections for the warning signs.
This is general information, not a diagnosis. Please follow your own vet's advice.
